Abundant Housing LA is a pro-housing advocacy organization working to end California’s housing crisis through upstream policy solutions. Our members are called Dingbats, which are an inexpensive type of small apartment that was popular during the 50s and 60s. Before the homeowners lobbied for massive down-zoning and widespread apartment bans, Dingbats provided affordable homes to lower-income families, allowing them to access good jobs and education in LA.

Abundant Housing LA works to take back our county from anti-housing forces to ensure a future of abundant housing. We’ve scored several significant wins so far, including getting SCAG to assign higher housing targets to more resourceful and livable cities. This year, our focuses are on the housing element update process and supporting pro-housing state bills in Sacramento.
