BEST Ride: Back to the Beach Bike-in Movie Ride

Join ActiveSGV for our Back to the Beach Bike-in Movie Ride presented by Metro’s Bicycle Education Safety Training (BEST) Program. Featuring festively illuminated bikes and on-bike DJ, Oso Peligroso, the Back to the Beach Ride will traverse the SGV communities of Arcadia and Pasadena and will end at Day One for an outdoor bike-in movie (film selection to be determined). Come out in your floaties, tank tops, or even put a beach umbrella on your bike for extra raffle tickets! Bring a blanket to get comfortable during the film. Afterwards, we encourage you to take the Metro L Line back to the start.

Pre-registration and attendance confirmation is required for all participants. Once you are registered, we will send you a waiver and location information to confirm your attendance. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately in order to attend. Register now to guarantee your spot!

Timeline: 6:00 – 10:00pm

• 6:00pm – Meet and Greet
• 6:30pm – Roll
• 7:05pm – Break at Eaton Blanche Park
• 7:15pm – Roll
• 7:45pm – Finish Ride at Day One / Film Screening

Start: Arcadia Station (Metro L Line / Gold line)

End: Day One (175 N Euclid Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101)

Route: Mostly flat, approx. 8.5-mile route on low-traffic city streets.

Getting There:

• Public Transit: Metro L-Line and Local Metro Buses
• Parking: Paid parking is available at Arcadia Station.

Experience Level: Beginner / Intermediate

What to Bring:

• A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears)
• Mask or face covering to wear at stops and when not able to social distance
• Hand sanitizer
• TAP card or money for fare if you plan to use the Metro bus or train.
• Additional cash to purchase food at stops
• A helmet is required if under 18
• Bike lock
• Bike lights (front white light and red rear light)
• Reflective gear and bright-colored clothing
• Water Bottle (with water) 
• Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat
